Vaulted Dining Extension with Rooflights

Inside a completed dining extension: the ceiling is taken up into the roof rather than flat-boarded at wall-plate level, which is what makes a modest footprint feel like a proper room. Four rooflights are set into the vault in a line, and a run of pendants drops down the ridge.

Two sets of anthracite glazed doors open onto the garden — a full-height set on the rear wall and a second set on the return — so the room draws light from two elevations. The floor is tiled through in a large-format grey, carried right up to the thresholds.
