Esquire Building & Construction Ltd is an independent building company working out of Altrincham, led by its director Jason Kirby. We take on house extensions, loft conversions, roofing, kitchens, full renovations, structural alterations, driveways and landscaping across Trafford, south Manchester, Warrington and Cheshire — domestic work for the most part, with some commercial property alongside it.
Because we cover the building work, the roofing, the joinery, the plastering, the tiling, the flooring and the decorating, most projects are handled start to finish by one firm rather than a chain of separate contractors you have to chase. The plumbing, gas and electrical elements are carried out by the qualified tradesmen we work with, certificated to whatever each element requires.

Esquire build it as one job, with Jason running the programme, so the levels, the light and the junctions between old and new are resolved at the start rather than argued about at the end.

How we work
From the first look to the final coat.

A look at the job
Jason comes out, walks the property and talks through what you are trying to achieve — including the awkward bits, like whether a wall is load bearing, where the drains run, and whether the idea in your head is the one worth building. There is no charge for that conversation.

A written, itemised quote
You get the scope in writing: what is included, what is excluded, and what would be priced separately if it comes up. Reviewers describe our pricing as clear and transparent, and that is deliberate — a vague quote is where building jobs go wrong.

The build, in the right order
Groundworks, structure, roof, first fix, plaster, second fix, finishes. The trades are booked to follow one another, the site is left safe and tidy each day, and building control and any inspectors are handled by us rather than by you.

Finished, checked and handed back
We see the job through to the decoration and the making-good, walk it with you, and sort anything on the list. Some of our work comes back round — repeat jobs for the same clients, and projects won on a personal recommendation — which is the only endorsement worth having.

Based in Altrincham, building across Trafford, south Manchester & Cheshire.
Our patch runs from Altrincham and Hale through Sale and the Trafford suburbs into south Manchester — Didsbury, Cheadle and the roads around them — and west into Warrington and Cheshire.
