The whole kitchen — strip out, services, units, worktops, tiling, flooring and decoration
Kitchen fitting looks like joinery and is actually five trades stacked on top of one another. Move a sink and you are moving waste runs. Add an island and you are chasing in sockets and often a new circuit. Take out a wall and you are into structural work. It is why kitchens overrun when they are split across separate trades.
Esquire handle the lot: removing and disposing of the old units, the plumbing alterations, the rewiring, sockets, lighting and appliance connections, the cupboards, shelving and worktops, then tiling, plastering, flooring and the painting and decorating that finishes it. We have fitted kitchens in Sale, Didsbury and across south Manchester on exactly that basis.
Strip out and make good
Old units, worktops, tiling and flooring removed and taken away, walls and floors made good, and any surprises behind the old kitchen — perished pipework, tired wiring, damp — shown to you and priced before they are covered back up.
Plumbing, gas and electrics
Waste and supply runs altered for the new layout, and the electrical work — rewiring, sockets, lighting circuits and appliance connections — carried out by the qualified tradesmen we work with, certificated to whatever each element requires. Any gas appliance work is left to a registered gas engineer.
Units, worktops and joinery
Base and wall units set level and scribed to the wall, shelving, and worktops cut, joined and sealed on site — including the bits nobody photographs, like end panels, plinths and the cutting-in around a bay window.
Tiling, flooring and decoration
Splashbacks and floor tiling, plastering where walls have been altered, flooring laid, and the room painted and finished — so the kitchen you get back is ready to use, not ready for another trade.
