Kitchen with Walnut Breakfast Bar

A wall between a kitchen and the neighbouring room taken out and replaced with a wide structural opening, with a full-depth timber breakfast bar fitted across it so the opening does a job rather than just being a hole. Two blue enamel pendants drop over the bar and set the line of the opening.

Beyond it the kitchen runs to a butler sink set under a bay window with a tiled splashback, and a column radiator sits in the return. The result is a small kitchen that borrows light and floor area from the room next door without either space losing its identity.
